I have a special requirement to create on SPM a Project Planning roadmap with a multi-value field (List Collector). This List Collector is expected to contain a list of Companies that participate/are affected by each Project, like this:
The problem comes when I try to group the roadmap by Company on the SPM roadmap tab. I guess it is because it's a List Collector (and we all know how special these fields are), but the Portfolio Plan freezes after selecting Company as group by field, and it won't load ever again. The problem is not losing a plan, it can be done again, the problem is that this feature (to be able to group by company) is one of the key features of we using SPM.
We tried opening a case but no useful solution was provided, so I look at the Community now to see if someone has faced this issue before and what workarounds (if any) are possible.

Hi @Javier Tirado1 ,
You can group by multi-value field and the result is displayed as expected both for free form roadmap and the lens based (structured) roadmap.
Please see below screenshots:
Demand has multiple values selected for "Other Impacted Business Applications", refer below screenshot

Now in the SPW, I have grouped by Other Impacted Business Applications". As expected above demand is shown in all the three, refer below screenshot
Only point is that user cannot drag or resize and that is mentioned in the warning as displayed in the below screenshot.

NOTE: FYI - This setup is on Xanadu release.
Hope this helps and if it does please mark the response as Correct Answer to help me and other community members.
Happy SPM Learning !!
Thank You!

Hi Namita, thank you for the response.
The freeze problem was solved by ServiceNow by applying an update set on our instance, but the second requirement is to Group by Company and Business Unit. For this, we have two GlideList fields for each, but the group by doesn't work as expected. If we have for example two companies and three business units (2 of them belonging to one of the companies and the other one for the other) the Group by will take the two Companies and nest all three Business Units in both of them.
I want the group by to be intelligent and nest the Business Units on its correspondent company, but I cannot find a technical way to do it.
