States missing on idea portal

Hi

We have recently purchased SPM standard (mainly for the idea portal). I have installed the following modules, which I understand we are entitled to.

  • Project & Portfolio Management
  • Demand Management
  • Financial Planning
  • Resource Management
  • Release Management
  • Innovation Management
  • Digital Portfolio Management
  • Alignment Planner Workspace

I have been reviewing the documentation and now learning sites, however a couple of things I've noticed is that we are missing a couple of states for ideas:

- Unlikely to implement

- In backlog

Also upon reading evaluate idea when the idea manager selects accept, it should automatically set to "In Backlog: from the State list, however it isn't doing so because of the above-mentioned.

Many thanks for any advice..

Cheers

Mike

But I still think you need to check why OOB it is not working. Please check once if idea is correctly extended:-

IF it is a client instance i would suggest you to raise a HI ticket with ServiceNow on why it is not getting shown.

@MIK
1. Please go to dictionary of state field then in choices related list, search "In backlog"

make sure inactive field is false/unchecked and follow same step for "Unlikely to implement".

2. As per doc, to accept an idea, status has to be manually selected to In Backlog by idea manager and then save the form.

P.S: Please mark helpful if this has helped you in anyway.

Hi Manal

I checked this and the field is indeed there and active

I am using the idea table, which is extending im_idea_core. Is this the right use? I can't understand why the field is not available for use?
