Hello,
We use the Strategic Planning Workspace.
We want to use it to manage both demands and projects.
We want to work with a parent-child relationship within the demands.
We may also want to work with subprojects within a project.
However, all demands/projects that are either a subproject or have a parent are automatically hidden in the “Financials” tab.
Can someone please tell me where this logic / condition is built in and whether it can be changed?
We would really like to see all demands/projects in the Financials tab.
Thanks a lot

Hi @Sarah6 For a portfolio plan that contains both projects and sub projects, financials tab doesn't show sub projects. That is because financials from sub projects roll up to their parent project and we want to avoid user double counting the total costs of the portfolio plan. Another reason is that the financials tab supports simulation of budget allocation and approval as part of the scenario planning and budget allocation is not supported on sub projects.

thanks for your answer.
Is it possible to turn this mechanism off?
Background:
We have a budget demand that needs to be approved.
Below that, there are lots of smaller demands that are supposed to have the budget demand as their parent.
However, no demands with a filled parent are currently displayed in the Financial tab.
But we want to see how many demands or how much planned costs there already are for the parent demand. And therefore we need to see this in the Financial tab.
(We are thinking about working with Parent Child references or subprojects)
