Time sheet Policy Bug ? Project Task approval going to both User manager and Project manager

Time sheet Policy : 

 

Set Project time approver as Project Manager

 

Submit time card for a Project Task. Approval time card appears for both User manager and Project manager.Both Can approve. Ideally it should go to Project manager only.

 

As per documentation for

Project time approver 

:

  • Project Manager: Time cards for a project task are routed to the respective project manager for approval when submitted. The project manager is picked from the task against which you are submitting time.
  • The project manager and the user manager can view only those time cards that are routed to them for approval.

Hi @Amit6 ,

Thanks for checking with community.

 

Your expectation is correct. Based on the settings shown in the screenshot (in above post), project task timesheet approval should be redirected to the project manager.

Would suggest you to check with ServiceNow support team.

Before raising the support case, check that the person defined as 'user manager' persona does not have project manager role (just in case, if that is causing the issue....)

Thanks. Raised the case with Support. Tried in PDI instance , same issue.
