unable to reassign a resource in project workspace in spm getting below error

i am getting below error while reassigning resources in project workspace

Alert level: Critical.

Cannot reassign the task. Planning attributes for the selected resource should match to reassign a task to different user.

i could see everything is matching with the planning attributes primary group , primary role of the resource but we have created a new attribute called resource for one of the configuration as a custom planning attribute since resource should not be same while reassigning this is failing do we have any workaround for this how we can reassign
