Why creating an project or demand in the core tables do not create planning item for APW

Hi Experts,

We integrated APW with Agile and PPM 2.0,  and when creating a project planning item/ demand planning item, it creates a record in the project/demand table.

However, I'm noticing that vice versa, creating a record in project/demand table is not creating a project planning item/ demand planning item. Can you advise if this is a OOB behavior, or perhaps we don't have the proper table map configurations?

Hi @Eddie S ,

Hope your issue is resolved by now but if not, I would like to confirm that after integrating the dmn_demand and the sn_align_core_demand table,  ideally the record will be created in both the tables.

This means on creating a record in dmn_demand will automatically add an entry in sn_align_core_demand table and vice versa is also true.

Just FYI - OOTB, the table map (Tokyo with November store release) looks as shown below:

Hi Namita,

Our business have started to use APW and one of the stakeholder would like me to add 'Category' as a field to the personalize 'Group by' column for Road maps.

The Category field is not OOTB but a custom choice field we added on the project table and I am unable to pull or map to this field on the planning item.

I found the Category field is only available to us when we select to use an Adhoc road map

How can I pull in the category field as a 'Group by' selection
