What kind of questions are asked in the CSA exam? Are there more scenario-based questions? Also, one of my friends had given the CSA exam about a year ago, she said that there was section-wise cutoff. When I checked the 'Review your exam results (Mainline)', there was no mention of section-wise cutoff. Can I get a clarity on this?

Hi @Faisal_CG
Tips for the CSA Exam (Certified System Administrator)
CSA is the first and foundational exam in your ServiceNow journey. Here are some tips to help you prepare effectively:
Study the training material thoroughly – Go through it line by line, word by word, at least 2–3 times.
Practice the labs multiple times – Do each lab 3–4 times. Don’t just complete them; carefully read and understand the instructions as well.
Follow the official eBook – Review it thoroughly at least 2–3 times to reinforce your understanding.
Consider supplementary courses – Some candidates have found Udemy courses helpful for additional practice and clarity.
Watch my experience video – I’ve shared my own preparation journey and tips here:
Good luck on your CSA journey!

Hi @Faisal_CG
I had given CSA this year on March, what i experienced is mostly its fundamentals what you cover in learning course and e-book for CSA. Scenario based are asked less for CSA certification. Mostly it will test your fundamentals like system tables, roles, ACLs, import of data, basics of CMDB, knowledge, business rule, client script, UI policies etc...

Hi @Faisal_CG
I appeared for CSA long back, but being a SN trainer I got used updates from my students as well. cSa is mainly on foundation level, which means you might get 1-2 scenario based questions but most are based on definition and terms. To see the pattern
