Hey team,
Quick question regarding preparation for the ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) exam.
I’m currently going through the CSA course and want to leverage the ServiceNow Developer Portal effectively as a hands-on sandbox alongside the training.
For those who have recently taken or passed the CSA, what is the best way to utilize the Developer Portal during study? Specifically:
Personal Developer Instance (PDI) Setup: Is there a specific release version (e.g., Washington DC / Xanadu) recommended for the current CSA blueprint, or should I stick to the latest default?
Guided Learning & Modules: Are there specific Developer Portal learning plans or lab guides that map cleanly to the CSA exam domains (User Administration, Data Schema, Automation, Incident/Change, Service Catalog)?
Instance Management: Any quick tips/best practices on managing the PDI (keeping it from hibernating, loading sample data safely) so it doesn't interrupt study flow?
Appreciate any advice or recommended workflows you used to get solid hands-on practice before taking the test!

Hi @MarquesB
- Mainly Rely on ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals course from Servicenow University. Read every line and practice in lab instance , in your PDI
- Review the Now Learning Certified System Administrator (CSA) Mainline Exam Blueprint for exam scope.
- Practice on a free Personal Developer Instance (PDI) rather than relying on unverified exam dumps
- Practice mock question with Correct Answer
- Practice from ServiceNow university provided practice (if you have access) : https://account.measureup.com/servicenow-university
- If anything left or you are struggling with answering practice test, Revisit the course content.
- Once you are confident , Schedule the exam and Go for it.
- Always try to use Latest course ( with latest version )available in Servicenow University
Good Luck!

Tanushree summed it up perfectly, do not rely on exam dumps and memorizing answers as you will not be able to apply the skills to real life scenarios in a job situation. I have come across this several times where people obtained the certification with no knowledge of how it actually applies in a work setting.
