Employee Center: Topic not showing in Mega Menu

Hi all, 

I'm just playing with my PDI here since these topic visibilities has been an issue on some of my clients before. In employee center by OOB I have topic called "Technology services". I built a new topic "Transportation", but it is not showing in mega menu as we can see.

1.  Technology services topic is only visible in mega menu

2. "Transportation topic" is active under employee taxonomy.

3. Transportation topic includes Quick link to Volvo V90 catalog item

4. Transportation topic also includes "Car" child topic

 5. And this child topic includes "Volvo V90" catalog item

6. And this catalog item is under service catalog, it is available for any user, and it is assigned correctly in my opinion

7. I have cleared cache, have log out / login again. Still only Technology Services topic visible in ESC mega menu. 

Any idea why?

Found one very strange solution, which can't be the only solution for this.

1. For humor sake I tried to inactivate OOB Technology services topic. 
2. Suddenly wild Transportation topic appeared to mega menu to that very same place where Technology Services topic was. 
3. Enabled back OOB Technology Services topic. 

And as you can imagine...

Now both topics are available.

I assume ServiceNow has not made this by purpose to work like this. If anyone has better solution, I'm curious to know.

Hello! I realize this is a very old topic, but I was curious to follow up on this, as I've come across megamenu + taxonomy topic issues as well.

 

If I may ask, do you know which scope you used when creating the top-level topics? (the missing ones)

Troubleshooting these is always time-consuming because it can require clearing browsing history/cache..
