How to hide variables

Hi ,

I have a Multi-Row Variable Set in which certain fields are required to be hidden.

Customer Account : field is configured to be hidden at all times (made hidden).

The condition-based visibility depends on the checkbox value (true or false). To handle this written UI policy script.

Part/Model Number not found : If true hide Part/Model Name & Part/Model Number

Part/Model Number not found : If false hide Model/Part Number Name, Part Number and Serialized.

However, I have observed that these fields are not being hidden on the catalog item form, nor are they hidden in the Variables section of the submitted record.

@UKush

there variables will be always shown, you can't write any logic to hide it there on catalog form or submitted

form

It's an OOTB limitation

Hi @UKush ,

Hiding a specific column within a Multi-Row Variable Set (MRVS) is not supported out-of-the-box (OOTB) by standard ServiceNow configuration methods like UI Policies or Client Scripts.

The "fields" in an MRVS are treated as columns in a grid widget, not standalone variables on the form, making them difficult to target individually with standard methods.

Please mark this response as Helpful & Accept it as solution if it assisted you with your question.
