How to Manually Change Demand Phases

How can I manually change the Phase for a Demand (Draft, Submitted, Under Review, Qualified, Approved, Completed, Rejected)? Within a Project ticket, the field is Phases, and can be easily change by an admin, however, I am not able to find this similar field on a Demand ticket.

 

The field representing Phases for Demand tickets is State. An admin is able to manually alter this field as needed.

 

If I wanted to allow a user to also do this; What role would be best for them?

Hi @MrDevanWright 

as you already figured out: the phases are driven by the states. And there is a legitimate reason why a user cannot simply change the status like this. Demands have a defined life cycle which, from a process perspective, must be run through in the designed sequence. If users can simply skip certain phases, the necessary level of maturity and the quality of the data is no longer guaranteed.

You want to change the backend value ? Like New to Draft, if this is the case it is not recommended as it has flow attached also if you create new states it may impact the OOTB.
