Dear SPM/PPM experts,
We have a need to provide random read-only access to specific users for specific SPM/PPM projects. These users are Agile Masters/Scrum Masters or a business head who will rarely login (once a month) but they need to be able to open the projects and read stories, etc.
Is there a way to assign access for specific user for specific projects? It will be left to project manager to determine who should be given read-only access. e.g. if there is a change in Agile Master, then project manager should be able to remove earlier one and give read-only access to new one. Note that these users are handful and they will not create any tasks/stories in project but will need to read projects. We are tracking manufacturing projects (not IT projects) and once in a while we have a situation where someone needs to provided read-only access.
Is this possible?
Best Regards,
Ashwini Pingle

Hi @ashwinipingle ,
At a minimum out of the box you need the ITIL and/or project_user role.
To access the Project application requires one of the following roles: project_user, project_manager, project_portfolio_user.

You can see the roles available for PPM/SPM and according to that you can give that role. ITIL is not required.
Roles available
project_user
project_manager,
project_portfolio_user.
if none is providing Read only, then create a new role and use or create ACL.
