ServiceNow implementation use cases

Sujana Vadagana

Hello,
I have tried using client script, business rules, ui action, ui policy, data policy and other things on platform but I don't know exactly how much I learnt and what more I can learn practically.
Can anyone give me some use cases or example scenarios that I can try implementing so that I can understand more deeply about concepts and their usage practically in servicenow.

Hi

Being a ServiceNow trainer, I’m happy to share my thoughts. Knowing the platform is one part, but implementing it is another. There are many use cases you can build on, but my advice is not to start with something too large—begin step by step.

To help yourself improve, try to use real-world scenarios. The more practical challenges you take on, the more you’ll learn. These days, many users are building their own apps, which means everyone brings different ideas to the table.

You can pick any use case and start building it on your own from scratch. Avoid relying too much on prebuilt business logic at the beginning—start small, understand the fundamentals, and then gradually expand.

Hi @Sujana Vadagana

I would suggest you to learn on more structured way.

Are you interested on Developer Role -> Then focus on CAD certification.

  1. First complete Application Development Fundamentals On Demand
  2. Check the syllabus from Certified Application Developer (CAD) Exam Blueprint
  3. Practice in your Personal Developer Instance (PDI)  //Try all your scenarios to implement here.
  4. Practice mock questions with Correct Answer
  5. Practice from ServiceNow university provided practice : https://account.measureup.com/servicenow-university
  6. If anything left or you are struggling with answering practice test, Revisit the course content.
  7. Once you are confident ,  Schedule the exam and Go for it.
