Spokes and Flows

Hello all,

Generally how often are spokes and new actions added to the Flow Designer?

Is this only updated with each release of ServiceNow or are these updated regularly?

However it did not directly answer my question.  After reading the article you posted, I could see there are updates per release, but it also mentions GitHub, so I am still curious as to the specifics of updates.  Are the spokes and flows updated between major releases via the GitHub? The article was not clear to me.  Thanks for your help.

Hey @Bryan_S 

Like so many things in the platform these days this isn't a straight forward answer. Flow Designer comes with some OOB actions and tools, and those will get expanded on depending on the products you have installed in your environment. Updates to those will usually come with major releases, so twice a year.

A lot of spokes aren't managed by ServiceNow, and are scoped applications themselves. They'll be updated when the publisher updates them, and they can be updated separately from the rest of the environment. I'll say that in my experience most of these apps don't have frequent updates, but can be extended yourself if you need some extra functionality.
