Service Now Service Management Different Homepage

Hi all, 

I have launched a PDI and can't seem to get to a different UI layout. 

This is the UI I see:

This is the UI I expect:

How do I get this? I have tried changing the instance or searching the features but no luck.

I am using the San Diego instance but cannot change it.

Hi,

This is because on new ServiceNow instances with San Diego where the "Next Experience UI" is by default enabled.

With that said, you can disable it by navigating to the system properties and setting this property to false:

glide.ui.polaris.experience

This will control it for the platform as a whole.

If you wish to do this per user, you can navigate to User Preferences table and then add a record with this name and set it to false:

glide.ui.polaris.use

thank you for your response.

I have successfully set this property to false.

However, I still don't have access to the system administration board/responsive dashboard

How can this be done?

I'm glad my reply above was Helpful 🙂

It wasn't apparent from your post that you not only meant UI16...but expected to see the dashboard selector. In the future, please try to clarify that as best you can upfront. Also, for screenshots, please post them in your post, like you did initially, instead of as attachments that make us download them. A good majority of us help numerous people on the forums per day and so we don't want to have to download tons of files.

For your additional question, you'd want to navigate to your system properties and find this one:

glide.login.home

Then set that to: $pa_dashboard.do - for example (basically, it needs to be set to whatever page you want people to land on).
