Architecture Excellence (ArchX) is a cohort-based learning program that is tailored for individuals with 1-3 years experience who are earlier in their architect career or looking to transition into architecture roles.  The program is designed to help develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel as an architect in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

This four-week program combines self-paced study, practical application, and collaboration with peers in a cohort-based setting. Participants will apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios, making this an invaluable opportunity for growth and development.

One of the great benefits of ArchX is its flexibility. Although it is cohort-based, participants can complete all training and activities on their own schedule, making it possible to participate from anywhere in the world. Participants will enjoy the camaraderie and support of their peers while still having the freedom to work at their own pace.

Additionally, registering in one of the inaugural cohorts offers the optional opportunity to kick off participation in the program in person at Knowledge24. Participants can connect with others in their cohorts, gain valuable insights from experts, and claim their exclusive ArchX SWAG.   Please note that individuals interested in participating in the in-person kick-off at Knowledge24 must have or obtain a Knowledge 2024 registration.

 I'm providing the information below.

This program requires daily dedication, but it's also possible to participate a few days a week. However, pay attention to due dates, as there will be weekly assignments.

In general, the program is divided into modules or weekly architectural topics, such as Project Team Roles, Responsibilities, Methodologies, Communication, and others.

Each week typically starts with an introductory video presenting the topic. Remember to use the forum and Q&A section to interact with your cohort.

Additionally, there will be tasks such as watching videos and participating in forum discussions. Sometimes, you may need to record an audio response or create a PowerPoint presentation to complete the final task of the week. In these cases, you will need to review your cohort’s work, and they will review yours as well.

During my participation, we didn't have online sessions—just interactions through Q&A, forums, and task comments.

Preparation Advice:

My main advice is to manage your time and dedication wisely. You may need around 8 hours per week (or more) to complete the course. Don't worry about difficult topics in advance—you will use a lot of ServiceNow documentation and Now Creator to complete your tasks. Additionally, some best practices will be covered, but you can find all the information you need on Google, so there's no need to stress!
