Hi all,

On the ServiceNow University platform, is going through the Scripting Fundamentals and Application Development Fundamentals module (found in the Professional Application Developer path) in depth and doing the lab exercises sufficient preparation for CAD exam? I have been preparing using product documentation, eBook etc.
Is it important/necessary to go through the other modules like Integration Hub, UI Builder Fundamentals etc. as well?
Thanks for your help

Hi @Faisal_CG ,

Completing the Scripting Fundamentals and Application Development Fundamentals courses, along with their associated lab exercises, forms the core of your preparation and covers most of the exam content.

However, as per  CAD Exam Blueprint  to be completely prepared, you should also gain a basic understanding of IntegrationHub and External Data (Integration) concepts.

Together, these topics will help you build a strong technical foundation in ServiceNow.

Good Luck!

Hi @Faisal_CG ,

Scripting Fundamentals & App Dev Fundamentals are your core preparation ,they cover 4 of the 6 exam domains which make up 80% of the blueprint (Designing Apps, UI, Automation, and Security).

You don't need Integration Hub or UI Builder  these aren't part of the CAD exam blueprint. review the official blueprint, it's confirmed UI Builder/portals are not mentioned.

but make sure you're solid on Flow Designer, ACLs, Update Sets, and basic REST integrations

Most importantly ,practice hands-on PDI , Build tables, write Business Rules, configure ACLs, and create flows in your instance.

All the Best for your CAD exam !
