Again don't shoot me for jumping ahead:
Lab 3.1 on page 97. Section C "Create AWS Credential in ServiceNow". You simply say hey go into the "Cloud Admin Portal" and do whatever. Should we first "Impresonate" as "cadmin.cloudd" or do we do this as "System Administrator"?

Is there any plan to enable SAML authentication in ServiceNow by using Master account STS (Secure Token Service) solution for AWS Account access as currently it uses access key & secret key ?

Hi everyone,
currently we dont have cloud portal purchased. if we run traditional discovery on AWS with mid server on AWS - the CIs will be populated into traditional classes in CMDB?
future lets say we buy this product and run cloud discovery from the admin portal then again those same CIs will be discovered - will those be updated with traditional discovery or create new in the new class?

Hi Nikunj,
With traditional discovery against CI's, the traditional discovery information will be gathered for ip-based discovery gathering operating sytsem information, etc. When you do cloud-baed discovery, a host of other information is gathered and populated in the CMDB that is specific to cloud resources and attributes, which enhances or addes to the complete picture for that particular resource. The attributes and information gathered is of a different nature than the OS-based discovery and complliments the existing data.

Per Donnie Hamlett, Not sure so we will need to pose that question to the developers.

any chance we can turn down the speakers a tiny bit? I realize I did choose a seat right next to them, but when the presenters really get into their presentation, it can get a bit loud.

My apologies for the misinformation, but you will not be credited in SABA for taking the course. The system used for Pre-Con has not been integrated with SABA.

I dont see anything in Saba for Cloud Management Fundamentals (or similar). Are there going to be some content or we have to pay 150$ for the exam ?
Cheers,
Joro

Unfortunately, you will not receive credit for this course in SABA, because the Pre-Con courseware is not connected to the SABA courseware system. My apologies for the person who may have mistakenly given you this information.

For Certification you will have to take the Cloud Management Advanced course. Upon completing that course you will be provided with a voucher that allows you to take the CIS-Cloud Management exam. Please note that this voucher does not pay for the exam, you will have to pay the required exam fee. Please see the exam specification for more details https://www.servicenow.com/content/dam/servicenow/other-documents/training/cis-cm-exam-blueprint.pdf

I really enjoyed the course and learned useful stuff, but when ServiceNow states that you'll get the possibility to get certified for this its good to keep it as said. Not that I cant live without that, but my management send me to this course , exactly for certification :)Just saying that its not nice to not hold to something you guys stated in the K19 Events portal 😉
Cheers,
Joro

Hello Joro,
You can definitely use this class to help you to become Certified for Cloud Management. The other class that you must take before you can take the Certified Implementation Specialist exam for Cloud Management is Cloud Management Advanced (CMA). Once you take the CMA class you will receive a voucher. which will allow you to register and pay to take the exam.
Here is a link to the Blueprint for the exam.

Thanks,
Donnie
