Course Path - Going Backwards to move forwards?

Hello,

I'm currently trying to complete a career path around ITSM Professional implementor and looking at all courses required to achieve this.

I passed my CSA two years ago and have recently completed my deltas, so I was confused to see that "

ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals" is a pre-requisite, which carries a $300 fee, but it's also a pre-requisite for the CSA certification that I have successfully passed and is kept updated. Surely, to pass and have an active CSA certification, you have the knowledge contained within ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals?

Is this correct? It would make sense for ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals OR Certified System Administrator Certification as a prereq for the "Certified Implementation Specialist in IT Service Management (ITSM)"...

Hi @Lee32,

Unfortunately, you have assessed the situation correctly and you're not the first person here on the community to express their frustration about this predicament.

Others have reported raising this issue with ServiceNow (via the Now Learning helpdesk) and the company's response has been unwavering: its argument is that the Admin Fundamentals course has recently been updated with new content, so it argues you're effectively taking a new course, which it requires you to do.

It is unfortunate, and I hope ServiceNow will look at somehow rejigging the career journey path structure to resolve this frustration, because -- apart from this -- the career path concept and the content involved, is a very good resource.

I assume you don't work for a ServiceNow partner, and therefore don't have access to the free training they have access to?

Hi @Lee32

Yes, you are right and you need to pay $300 to get CSA once again as it is pre-requisite.
