CSA certification exam - official course in Tokyo, exam in Utah?

Hi All,

I just finished my Administration course and I'm eligible for the CSA certification with my voucher. When I've read the guide on how to apply there was section mentioning that the last test in Tokyo release was back in April or so and that new release Utah is now used for certification.

Their official courses are in old release so does it mean that test could potentially contain completely new things? For example they moved, reorder, renamed certain things?

Would I be able to complete the certification despite new release?

Thanks

Hi @IronPotato

The same happened with CIS ITSM. If you delay more you may need to work more hard. The training you completed and go through the ebook which is good and best source for exam. Also if get time just do a basic navigation on lates release as well .

@IronPotato Few questions may be based on the latest release but in general CSA exam questions are based on the features which correlates with the day to day responsibilities of a ServiceNow administrator and can be found in previous as well as the latest releases.

Hi there,

That's with all ServiceNow courses the case. And if you don't hurry up... the exams will be on the Vancouver release 🙂

Will it make a big difference? In general not, in general only a handful of questions might change, because something is deprecated, something is renamed, something new was introduced, in general if 5 out of 60 questions change... that's would already be a lot. I wouldn't worry too much about having an exam on a different release, just make sure your PDI is already on the new release and that you have had a good look at the release notes.

Kind regards,
