CSA-certification questions

Hi everyone,

I've just started the CSA-course, and I'm hesitating to pay to take the certificate since I don't know the possible jobs, opportunities etc. I would like some more information before I decide, since I don't know If it's something I would like to do. Also, the release version... how to choose, and what's the difference?

Did you do the CSA-certificate and have a job today, what do you do?

I'm a developer and I would like to use some code in my job and work within programming as well, so combining the knowledge would be great. Is this certificate the right one, or should I rethink? Please, give me all you've got about this! Maybe the ServiceNow-developer certificate?

Thank you for your time and possibly help in advance!

Nadine

Hi @NadineR

Greetings

CsA is the first and covered the basis about the SN platform. The latest version for exam will  Xanadu starting from 15th Jan.

Reg job opportunities,  there are many opportunities but you need to build your skill set, as you mentioned you are a developer so you can start with CSA and thrn go for CAD exam.

If you are not working with SN partner company then the cost of CSA training is $500 and exam will be $300 plus taxes.

Hi @NadineR ,

Thanks for asking suggestion/guidance, your all points are valid. As you mentioned that you started CSA course means either you already working in ServiceNow space or trying to learn. CSA study/and/exam is the first step,it's beginning.

You need to go for CSA or not, its your decision, however you need to review the learning path and next certificate and their cost and then yearly cert maintenance cost which required for delta exams. If cost is cover by employer ( or employer is partner with SN and there is 0 cost for you, then go-ahead, do it else spend some time of learning and then take decision. Otherwise, you can learn all free training courses first and learn the SN platform and modules. You can also follow various YouTube channels and learn & explore SN feature & functionality.

Please check the @Dr Atul G- LNG's YouTube channel, very rich module-wise content. He is the best in teaching & mentoring.

Please share, if you have more questions over.

-Thanks,
