Hello,
I am new to ServiceNow and was looking at different options of training for myself.
Very impressed with the online introduction course, demo portal, wiki documentation and the youtube channel.
I think there is enough material already available to get started.
I want to gain administrator and developer skills in ServiceNow.
Appreciate if I can get some guidance on the following:
- Is there a hands-on practice lab that I can subscribe to? I think the demo portal - https://demochannel.service-now.com has limited options for getting hands-experience as an administrator and also as a developer
- Will the online free courses and wiki documentation be enough to get good hands-on practice/experience
- What other courses should I look at after completing the ones available currently?
- To be certified do I need to attend ServiceNow's authorized training?
Thanks in advance.

Hey Srirao,
You have to try all the demo instance numbers and check which one is working fine. sometimes demo instance are messed up because of it is public access to everyone.
Also I forgot to mention the new developer program we have launched during K15. Please register on the site mentioned above by kalai. Post successful registration, you will get one demo instance which will be your personal. Please make sure the instance is active and you are using it.
However currently you can use demo008 which is working fine.
Happy coding

To be certified, you don't need to attend official training .. But it is good if you can afford it ....
Also register on developer portal and try to make use of its offering ...

Good luck

Materials can guide you but hands-on experience depends on the level of efforts you put in ... Wiki shows the way but you have walk the path

Oh, it allows to select only two answers as helpful. I think it should allow multiple answers to be selected as helpful or may be unlimited.
Thanks
