How to restrict End User from Modifying fields on Incident Form via mobile view ??

Gaurav Kumar15

Hello All,

I am facing issues in restricting user from modifying Incident record data via Mobile view for ESS User. Right Now ESS user is able to modify the fields on the Incident form.

Is there any way via which we can restrict him that he will not be able to see the Incident form. If anyone has worked on this earlier, then please share.

TIA

1. Is it possible to hide OOB SAVE button from the incident form of mobile view of End User.

I see there are 2 OOB save button for mobile UI. I added gs.hasRole('itil') but still the button is showing in the form with disabled condition.

It is coming in every browser, not only in chrome.

2. Second issue I am getting "Related Lists" in the incident form when I click on My Incident-->any incident.

Didnot find any place from where I will restrict it for ITIL/Admin, I mean I dont want this for End User.mobile_issue.jpg

Hi Gaurav,

Where you able to resolve this? If the ESS users are able to modify the fields of an Incident form it sounds like an ACL problem.

You can also may want to choose to remove the favorites menu. Take a look to this wiki:

3.1 Removing Default Home Page Favorites

To remove default favorites, simply remove them from the Home Favorites list on the standard browser instance.

  1. In your desktop instance, navigate to System Mobile UI > Home Page Favorites.
  2. Locate the tag item you want to remove.
  3. Select the adjacent check box.
  4. In the Actions choice list below the list, and select Delete.
  5. Click OK to confirm.

I hope it is helpful!

Thanks,

Berny

Hi Benny,

No i didn't got any resolution to this.
But if i will change ACL's then it wont work on browser as well for ESS user.

What we want is he can create/update incident on browser, but on mobile he should not do anything.Later our requirement got changed so i didn't got a chance to check this post from so long.

Thanks,

Gaurav
