In the lab 5.2 it says in step 13 that I should see a "Try It" button in the top bar. But it does not appear.

As I cant progress without making the Catalogue Item active I need some help.

Is this still a solution to this issue? I am doing lab 5.2 and for the life of me cannot get the catalog item out of draft or make it active.

Hello @Chris S NZ

The Try it button only comes when the item is Active and you are in the scope the item is present in...

If the item is not active, you can Activate the item...

The problem is when you select the "active" tick box and save, it says "Making a draft item active is restricted.

The instructions say this:

This is now the second time I have tried it after deleting the previous Catalogue item, and access etc.

Hi @Chris S NZ ,

for this you can do one thing

1. open Maintain items from filter navigator.

2. Remove all conditions from the filter and add condition like this

3. you will find two records.

4. open the one that's active true(one with red dot next to it and click on cancel checkout button)
you will see the "Try it" button

Chaitanya

Thanks for the help.

There is only one record and there doesnt seem to be an option to "Cancel Checkout".

It has a little triangle next to it.

When I open it it has no tick in the "Active" selector and save the tick is removed and it says "Making a draft item active is restricted".

This happens when I am system admin or the impersonating person from the lab instructions.

I have just tried Ravi's idea from the article he supplied and it has actually worked. Not sure what I did wrong but thank you.
