Is CSA mandatory ?

I would like to know whether can I take CAD/CIS directly without any pre-requisite certification ?

yes there are no per-requisites for CAD or CIS - Implementation specialist

All these examination do not have any inter-linked connection. If you have partner portal access given by your employer, complete the Now Learning Path, Get the Voucher, Book Slot for Exam and get certified.

Same Goes with the Mode if You are doing it Independently on Now Learning.

According to the blueprint, there's no pre-requisite certification. There, however, seems to be a prerequisite training path.

CAD

Prerequisite ServiceNow Training Path ServiceNow requires the completion of the following prerequisite training course(s) in preparation for the Certified Application Developer exam. Information provided in the following ServiceNow training course(s) contain source material for the exam.

• ServiceNow Fundamentals

• Automated Test Framework

• Scripting in ServiceNow Fundamentals

• Application Development Fundamentals - * Upon completion, the candidate will be eligible to collect a voucher for the Certified Application Developer exam.

Hi there,

For the instructor led Application Development Fundamentals course (which includes the exam voucher which you will receive afterwards) CSA is not mandatory.

Obviously CSA is mentioned for a reason as pre-requisite, though mandatory: No. Or to make it more clear, even people who have never seen ServiceNow can follow the course, as long as you pay 🙂
