Please advise where the "Field Service Knowledge KB" is?   (Not seeing a KB called "Field Service" in my class instance.)

If you create a new portal and you want to replace an existing portal  with that new one could that be done by just changing the URL Suffix of the old one to the new one?

Hi,

If you have an old portal with URL Suffix "hsp"--> This Portal needs to be switched to a new one. And I believe you don't want all the URLs that are distributed to be changed.

So, Create a fresh portal with new URL Suffix let's say "hspduplicate"

At one point of time, you cannot have the same URL suffix in your instance - so you need to switch is careful.

hsp --> hsp1

and then hspduplicate --> hsp

in this way you can switch, URL Suffix and users will be redirected on next login to fresh portal...

Cheers,

Ashish

On Google chrome browser, there is a pretty nice extension called - "Which Font Is This ?"

using this extension helps you to find on the portal which font is being used on the portal.

This really makes life easier when you want to play (test) with fonts on Service Portal.

I am Søren Jarnbo, currently "Knowledge and Request Manager" in a medium-sized danish pharmaceutical company called LEO Pharma.

We have used ServiceNow since august 2016, mainly for ITSM, but are expaning into HR, Finance, Facility etc.

We are about to launch 200+ request forms on our IT Portal and I need to find out how this is done in a user-friendly way with access control to different request forms.

Hello. I'm Brian Bouchard. I work for a family owned, outdoor retailer, L.L. Bean, based in Freeport, Maine. We have had ServiceNow for 8 years and I am one of 2 ServiceNow admin/developers and consider myself more of a generalist on the platform, though we primarily utilize the ITSM functionality of the tool. We're currently working on a complete redesign of our Current Service Catalog, which will include a migration to Service Portal.

This is my first Knowledge conference.

In the lab instance the "Request" link in the header allows user to search requests that are either open or closed.  Is that a new feature in Madrid?

Mike-D
Tera Expert

I just had this link shared with me recently. Seems to be a vast expanse of widgets (and other portal goodies) --

"Request" Menu item was also there in London - But the widget that appears after click is really new one !!

That is good to know because i have been working on changing the filter for that widget to allow both active and closed request to show but knowing this new widget will be in Madrid and it will allow users to search for either active or closed requests might make me pause on changing this and wait til we move to Madrid.
