Stewart - Assignment rules allow you to populate the Assignment Group and Assigned to fields based on a wide range of criteria that is configured in the condition builder. The Assignment Lookup Rules only allow lookup based on category, subcategory, configuration item, and location.

When do the Assignment rules apply? After update? Do they apply before or after business rule in the case a BR is also setting an assignment value?
I have worked a little bit with Assignment Lookup Rules and it seems to apply during changes made during the display of the form, before update, so the Lookup Rule changes the value, but it can be changed by the user before clicking Update or Save. Is this correct? And is it the only time the Lookup rules apply?

Hi Stewart,
Assignment Lookup rules are client side, so yes, they will apply even if you don't click on "update".
The Assignment rule are server side, it means that you need to submit/ update the incident to trigger the rule.
So, both could be useful depending on the business requirement, even if normally, the Assignment rules are more often used.
Thanks

Question: How can I enable/disable User Presence and Follow in the form headers?
Answer: (Note: As the question in class related to the Kingston version, the links provided below are related to Kingston as well, but the instructions should be applicable to Kingston and later versions.)
Enable/Disable User Presence
- Navigate to sys_properties.list.
- Locate the property named glide.ui.presence.disabled.
- Set the Value to true.
Enable/Disable Follow in Connect
- Navigate to sys_properties.list. (This can be typed directly into the Filter Navigator.)
- Locate the glide.live_feed.task_header_button property.
- Set the Value to live_feed.
