My CAD Exam got suspended

I’m reaching out because I’m experiencing a serious issue with my Certified Application Developer (CAD) exam, and I’m wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar or has any advice.

 

My exam was suspended without any clear explanation, even though I followed all behavioral and environmental requirements. I received 2–3 vague warnings about my camera position, but they didn’t specify what was wrong or how I could fix it.

 

At one point, I was redirected to support during the exam. After waiting for about 3 minutes, I was sent back into the exam session without any explanation. Since I didn’t receive any clear feedback and nothing had changed on my side, I just continued as instructed. Shortly after, the exam was suspended.

 

To make matters worse:

 

The exam is still stuck in “In Progress” status on Webassessor, so I can’t retake or reschedule it.

My exam voucher was consumed and is no longer valid.

I submitted a support case, but I haven’t received any response yet.

 

 

For context: I used the exact same setup for my CSA and CIS-ITSM exams, which I completed and passed without any problems.

 

I’d really appreciate it if anyone from the community or the certification team could help with:

 

Clarifying why the exam was suspended

Resetting the “In Progress” status on Webassessor

Issuing a new voucher so I can retake the exam

 

 

This situation is seriously affecting my certification progress. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help!

Your case is the second or third I’ve heard of in the community over the past two days where a CSA/CAD got suspended. There could be various reasons for this, including potential technical issues. Since you’ve already logged a case, please wait for their response, and the team will guide you accordingly.

To be honest, I find it quite frustrating that an exam can be suspended without a clear reason — and then candidates are expected to pay $100 for a retake.

There were no specific instructions during the exam, just 2–3 vague camera warnings that didn’t explain what exactly was wrong. From my perspective, everything was set up correctly, and the system initially confirmed that my environment was fine and allowed me to start the exam.

 

I’ve already passed both the CSA and CIS-ITSM exams using the exact same setup and behavior without any issues. I haven’t changed anything.

 

My support case has been open for about a week now and still hasn’t received a response, which makes it even more disappointing. Preparing for this exam takes a lot of time and energy, and now I have to keep everything fresh while waiting indefinitely.

Instead of focusing on learning, I’m left dealing with unnecessary stress and delays — and all because of something I still don’t understand.

 

I really hope this situation gets resolved soon.

Every word you wrote is true, and I can easily relate to it. I understand not only the physical stress but also the mental stress caused by this situation. It has also delayed my learning plans. Unfortunately, no one from the community can help; the only option is to wait for the case to be resolved. So, we just need to be patient, mate.
