Query about CAD exam cost

Hi Community,

I have successfully completed the Application Development Fundamentals On Demand training and now see an option to take the exam.

However, when I click the exam link, it asks me to register by paying $300. Could you please confirm whether this amount is only the exam fee, or if there are any additional charges to attempt the exam?

I would also like to know how many attempts are allowed in case I do not pass on the first try.

The fee is 300 USD + sales tax depending on your county of residence. 

With the migration to Pearson you can retake mainline exams as many times as needed. A retake fee is required for each attempt and a waiting period between the re-takes will be enforced by the system.

The fee is 300 USD and if you are in India you need to pay GST on top of it. If your company is registered partner with ServiceNow, then you will get discount price or you can pay from your company learning credits. Please check with your employer about Partnerships with ServiceNow.

Fee for CAD is $300 plus 18% tax you need pay. Currently there is no scheme which can provide free or discount. You need to pay this amount from own pocket if you are not working with partner.

Total 4 attempt 

1st as you go

2nd - 1st retake 

3rd - - 2nd retake 

4th - 3rd. Retake 

NOTE: The retake fee is $150 for the CSA, CAD, and CPOA exams, and $225 for all CIS exams

There is a 3-day waiting period between the first and second attempt, 30 days between the second and third. All subsequent attempts require a 6-month waiting period. Partner discounts are applied at the time of payment.

The total of four attempts was with WebAssessor. For Pearson, there is no limit; you just need to wait the 6 months for each consecutive retake after the 3rd attempt.
