As a ServiceNow Certified professional, you know how important it is to stay current on the latest features and capabilities of the ServiceNow products and platform. To help you do that, and to ensure that all our certified professionals are up-to-date without requiring a full exam every year, we are introducing a delta exam process with the London release.

Delta exams are short, unproctored, exams. This means that you will need to complete an online exam for each certification you hold within 90 days of the delta exam release. Each delta exam will be approximately 10 questions that highlight the main components of the product release.

The London delta exams will be released on September 20th, 2018 and will be available until December 19th, 2018 on the ServiceNow Webassessor site. We believe this will be plenty of time to understand the new features and capabilities, using the release and support information ServiceNow provides. All certified professionals will receive an email notification when the delta exams are released and a series of reminders throughout the 90-day delta period.

If, for some reason, you are unable to successfully complete the delta exam within 90 days, your certification will expire and, if you choose to re-certify, you will need to complete the full exam.

Delta exams and one retake are available at no cost to current certified professionals through the Madrid release. A $25 fee will be charged for a third attempt. If an individual is not able to pass the delta exams after three attempts, they will need to complete the full exam to keep the certification current.

As a reminder, if you are a new certification candidate you will still be required to attend training and pass the full certification and then participate in the delta exam program with the following release.

Hi,

What is the source of this information? Is it published somewhere on ServiceNow's web site or on some official PDF document?

Regards,

Mishu

Hi @sneelapu, I have the same question as @mishu.  What is your source for the information you've asserted?

Your post is written as if it came from ServiceNow ("we are introducing a delta exam process...") but it doesn't appear that you're a ServiceNow employee, and I haven't come across anything from ServiceNow that sounds anything like what you've posted.

Based on how chaotic and seemingly greedy ServiceNow has become with their certification program, I find it unlikely they would offer free anything related to certifications, unless you count the "free" voucher you get when you pay $2,000 for a training course. 😕

I would not be surprised, however, if they changed their course and direction yet again, without adequately communicating the new changes.  That part seems to be the recurring theme for 2018, and wouldn't be surprising at all. 😞

In any case, please provide the source for your information.  Or if anyone from ServiceNow happens across this post, would you please either confirm or deny what sneelapu has posted?

How do I know my certification are from Kingston or Istanbul

His information looks like it is straight from an email sent on 7\26 from ServiceNow:

Seems legit, and that's good news for those of us that have certs to maintain.

Thanks for confirming smcdonaldaz.  I did not receive that email. 😕  I think I need to reach out to ServiceNow Certification to figure out why I haven't received this or any of the other emails related to the recent certification changes.

Thanks again, this is indeed good news.

Hi,

Source of that information is ServiceNow. You will get this email if you have recent certifications done.

Thanks for following up Srinivasa.

I have not received any emails for the last several months from ServiceNow's certification team, despite having multiple ServiceNow certifications.  I didn't receive any notification from them when they announced the pre-2017 certs were going to expire with only 30 days to recertify.  I also didn't receive any email when they increased their grace period to the end of June.  And now I didn't receive this email either.

So, I would change your response only slightly to "You should get this email if you have recent certifications done." 🙂

My obvious concern is that I won't actually get these email notifications in the future either, and since we'll only have 90 days to take the delta (and more than one delta exam, depending on how many certs you carry), I don't want to end up having to start all over again just because I didn't receive an email.  Seems like that will be a very easy thing to have happen, but a very expensive thing too (literally thousands of dollars and several days out of work to re-attend classes).

Hopefully, my email issue with the cert team will get resolved soon.

Hi, Is there any ready study material to prepare for the Delta exams? or, Is it going to be "Learn ServiceNow London the hard way"?

Hi....Has anyone given the Micro Certifications yet? when do we receive the Voucher code after passing the Delta exams?

Hi there,

I haven't received the email notification either, however, the information is there on the learning portal. If you search for Delta Exam Specification Guide (Class ID: ES-SN-DESG-WBT), the PDF has some good information.

Good luck, everyone!

If you search for Delta Exam Specification Guide (Class ID: ES-SN-DESG-WBT), the PDF has some good information as well as a link to the London Release Notes which is what the delta is based on.

where can you find that document? I'm not finding it anywhere.

You need to complete the micro courses on Saba to get vouchers. It's not enough to just pass delta exams.

that just takes me to a blank page

** updated - works if I cut it down to https://servicenow.sabacloud.com and search for the training. Odd I couldn't find this on the normal training site. BUT - it still only describes the process to take the exam, it's not a study guide 😞

Okay glad you found it! 🙂

In the "Exam Preparation" section of the pdf it links to the London Release Notes which is what the exam is based on. Hopefully that helps!
