ServiceNow Administration Fundamentals - On Demand (Latest Version Fall 2022): Lab 8.1

Hello -
Can anyone provide assistance to the proper steps to begin Lab 8.1: Create a UI Policy & Business Rules?
The instructions are "abbreviated", so the step-by-step portion is not shown.
I seem to be stuck on the very first item, which is to ADD a field to the "Manufacturer" form...which I cannot seem to locate.
I thought maybe there would be a step-by-step "answer" guide for figuring out this Lab?

If you are just doing the basic.

1. Prepare Manufacturer form:

• Add Contact field to the form on the right of the form

The manufacturer information is stored in core_company.  The table already contains contact field, so you only need to add the contact to a view.  To make it simple add it to the default view.  From there add it to the form with the default view.

2. Prepare Service Offering form:

• Add Manufacturer field to form under Vendor.

The Service Offering is stored in service_offering.  So in service_offering, you need to add an a new reference column, Manufacturer that is a reference to core_company,

Thank you for the notes - this was super helpful. I was able to pull up the Table - Company (core_comapny) and select Form Layout. 

From Form Layout I was then able to add a new "Contact" field (Default view) under the Table section under Form View and Section. Then click Save and refresh your form. 

The lab being backwards between 8.1 and 8.2 and the abbreviated steps were a bit difficult for an Admin class. I appreciate the 'read the community' nudge and all, but there should be a better lifeline for this lab. It's a bit confusing.

I'm having difficulty getting started with this lab as well. Thank you Epsylen for explaining point 1. 

For point 2 - "Prepare Service Offering form. Add Manufacturer field to form under vendor" I am similarly confused.
I can find Tables>Service Offerings, but that form does not have a vendor field.
If I go Tables>Service Offerings>Service Offering, there is no vendor field either.
What am I missing?

I'm also struggling with the first section of the lab and unsure where to add manufacturer. I had a check box for it above vendor on the company form but am unsure if this is correct. I am also unsure about the 3rd step in creating an incident and whether it pertains to existing incidents or if we create a new one
