to complete CIS data foundations, CSA is mandate to complete eve though I already completed CSA

Hi All,

I have an voucher for CIS DISCO which will expire this month.

When Trying to register for this exam, it is asking to complete the CIS - Data foundations as mandate.

While learning on the CIS - Data foundations course, it is asking me to take the CSA mainline again. Even though I have completed it.

why is that?

Yes, mate. As per the latest update from SN, CIS DF is mandatory for 6 CIS. CIS DF is free of cost until June 30th, 2026. With CIS DF, you can move to CIS – Discovery.

Key Changes

• The prerequisite of having the Certified Implementation Specialist - Data Foundations (CMDB and CSDM) (CIS-DF (CMDB and CSDM) certification before taking any of the following exams, is temporarily suspended through January 31, 2026, allowing users already pursuing implementation specialist certifications to complete their journeys without delay.

I have an expiring voucher for CIS Disco by this month. But how to deal with that as I need to complete the prerequistes first?

No, mate. CSA is not required if your last one is done and still valid. If it’s valid and you’re still asking, it’s better to log a new learning case now, and the team will guide you.
