Hi all
I attempted to take my CSA last week - but hit a technical issue that i wasn't able to resolve
My webcam was working and i got to the stage where it was able to authenticate me against my previously provided biometrics
However - when i was selected by an assessor (after being taken out the waiting lobby), my camera feed had stopped working and i no longer had a video clip of me, but a static image (frozen at some point in the previous minutes)
This happened countless times, and i spent hours trying different solutions and changing properties on the laptop to no avail. Having googled it i can see its a known issue. Has anyone experienced this? and if so, so you have a solution?
Many thanks
Charlotte

Hi Charlotte,
I had the same issue a few years ago. I was actually trying to take an exam on a laptop where I was not an admin and the webcam feed kept freezing. The solution for me was to move to my PC, where I had admin rights.
My suggestion would be to
- Check your webcam drivers, update it if it's necessary
- Clear any add-ons from the browser, which could interfere. A clean browser would be the best.
- Make sure you have admin rights on the computer
As a last case scenario, you could contact Kryterion support they are very helpful.
Hope I could help!
Best Regards,
IstvƔn

Hi Charlotte,
Happened to me when i was attempting for CSA
if I recall correct i went to Device Manager and turned off my internal CAM and it worked for me. Try that please. And if you can't find in device manager try finding internal camera in system settings and disable it.
Mark Correct or helpful if it helps.
