Hi all,
I have keenly observed that a lot of people usually hide or cover their ServiceNow certification numbers when sharing it on social media.
Is there any unique reason for this please?
Do you think it is necessary, considering the numerous future deltas that would invalidate the initial certification?
Kindly share your thoughts please.
Dan

Try it. The instruction doesn't mention it's locked to partners only.

It doesn't from a core SN perspective, but I'll tell you what, I'm not sharing mine with you (the numbers), haha. If there is any issue with people faking certs (which there are cases), SN would at least look in to it and match up the email and the number, with the name of the person but...the point is...the whole "fake" piece started from someone having access to the numbers and drafting fake certs.
Have their been cases where SN accidentally cancelled the wrong cert because of the number being exposed and not looking fully at the name and email? Yep...there's been posts on these forums where someone says: whoa...why did my cert get cancelled? And they shared the email that SN sends (which I won't reveal what that says, but I've seen it) and they accidentally cancelled the wrong cert because the number was all that had.
Any HR, etc. can simply search by the name of the person or their email and see their certs (if they have opted in to showing it via webassessor). So it's almost less around the numbers than someone having the same name or faking their name as you, haha.
Either way, for me, I'm not sharing my numbers, just because.
But yes, what Miguel has shared, that link, you can use and I've used it as a non-partner to verify employees I've hired have certs. They must opt in to that via webassessor for me to verify it. I will not solely take their cert pdf as proof. Otherwise, I'm sure you could ask your SN Account Exec to help look too, but that's what I do as it's less involved from SN. The user can then opt back out via webassessor after I confirm their certs.
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!
