Hi,

I am wondering if anyone has used the new guided tour functionality in Jakarta and can possibly help answer a few questions?

Hi Chris,



I have a couple of questions ....



1. Can you use this across multiple instances? We have a training environment and i wondered if it possible to build and deploy it in a training instance and also production?



2. Is there a way to add short videos and link these so users can see a short demo?



3. Is there is a way to link knowledge articles?

I thought you were going to ask something difficult



1.   Yes, it can be used in any instance.   If you are new to ServiceNow (starting on Jakarta) then Guided Tours are already activated for you.   If you are upgrading from a previous version, then you need to install the Guided Tour Designer plugin on the instances you want to use it.



2. Yes, but not from Guided Tour Designer.   You have to set up your steps, then edit the step you want to add the hyperlink in.   You would navigate to Guided Tours, select the tour you are working on, and in the Guided Tour Steps list, click the step you want the link in.   The editor has the hyperlink tool.



3. Yes, but from what I can tell, only as in 2.

lisajones2906 in addition to chrissquires reply, you can also copy tour URL from Guided Tour Designer. This url/link can be copy/pasted in Knowledge articles or sent via emails and if users clicks on this link it will open that page and tour will start playing.
