Hi Christine,
We are planning to upgrade our sub-prod instances from Kingston to Madrid in a couple of days.
However we see that since the above patching program is scheduled, we are not able to schedule a release upgrade. If we upgrade to Madrid patch 3, we definitely do not need this patch upgrade of Kingston.
Could you please suggest me how do I cancel this patch upgrade and schedule a release upgrade. We are on strict timelines and we need to upgrade our DEV instance for client at the earliest.
Many Thanks,
Arnab

Hello Arnab,
I apologize for the late response; I just returned from being out of office. You may change the target version of the scheduled patching CHG from Kingston to Madrid Patch 3 if you wish to upgrade to Madrid instead.
If you need further assistance, please comment in the Program Record or visit the Contact Support page at http://www.servicenow.com/support/contact-support.html to work with someone directly on your specific request. Hope this helps!
Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine
We have just received notification for 2019 Kingston End of Life Upgrade in October but haven't received notification for the June 2019 patching - does this mean we don't have to do anything until October?
Regards
Kevin

Hi Kevin,
You should have received a June 2019 patching notification for patchable instances on Kingston. After June, Kingston then becomes unsupported with the release of New York in Q3-2019, so next would be your Kingston EOL upgrade in October.
Please visit the Contact Support page at http://www.servicenow.com/support/contact-support.html and they can look into details on why you did not receive a June patching notification.
Thanks,
Christine

Hi Christine
Thanks - the support person I spoke to didn't know why I hadn't received a notification and suggested that I manually raise the Change Requests to upgrade our instances to Kingston 14b.

Kevin

Hi Christine
I've just realised that the Kingston EOL Change Requests will disable the Upgrade Instance function so this cannot be undertaken manually.

Kevin
