The Helsinki End of Life (EOL) notifications sent in December 2017 triggered questions from our customers regarding what "unsupported" really means. There was concern that "unsupported" meant we no longer respond to customers on an "unsupported" version. That is definitely not the case!
Unsupported means ServiceNow no longer provides patches and hotfixes on a family version that has reached EOL.
In order to receive patches containing the latest in security, performance, and availability, customers are required to upgrade.
- We encourage you to upgrade on their own — when and to the highest version you can.
- Or we will schedule your upgrade to a supported family version and provide support during the upgrade process.
The EOL Program actually provides an additional level of support, by protecting all customers from any potential risks that unsupported versions may cause.
