ServiceNow Fuji is available. In fact, Fuji Patch 3 was released this week and you can find all of the release notes with information about the issues and problems fixed in each patch. Upgrading your instances is more intuitive than ever through the Customer Self-Service Portal.
Some of you may not see Fuji as an upgrade option on the Customer Self-Service Portal so you will need to request a version entitlement.
Request a version entitlement if Fuji is not available as an upgrade option:
- Navigate to hi.service-now.com.
- Depending on what type of customer you are:
- Enterprise customers click Service Catalog and, under Instance Management, click Version Entitlement Request.
- Express and ServiceWatch customers, click Self-Service & Request Version Entitlement.
- Partners select the company for which you are requesting an entitlement.
- In the Instance field, click the lookup icon.
- After selecting an instance, the current instance version is automatically listed in Current Version.
- In Which version would you like to gain access to, click the lookup icon to find and select the appropriate version.
- Click Submit.
The first step is to request a version entitlement using the steps mentioned above and the information provided in KB0547247. The second step, is to obtain the version entitlement, and then request the upgrade. Customers with the customer administrator role and partners with the partner administrator role can request an entitlement to include Fuji as an upgrade option. This process is the same for future releases as they become available.
For brand new releases, availability is controlled and upgrading is a multi-step process which is shown in the Release Cycle. Availability is given in batches so there is a chance that the ability to upgrade to Fuji will not be available right away. To better your chances of accessing a new release before it is available to the public, sign up with the Upgrade Early Access program. Once early access becomes available for a new release, the ServiceNow Instance Upgrade space will be the first to announce it. So follow the Upgrade space to find out when you can request early access to the latest release.
