Developer instance

How long does it take to upgrade a developer instance , I have started it an hour back and its upgrading , its upgrading to Xanadu patch 4 I guess

It usually takes a few hours.

Usually its takes 3-4 hours but what i had absorbed that if many modules are enabled in instance then its take little bit longer.

Indeed, the time it takes can vary based on the level of customization in your instance. For a less customized environment or one that has just been reset and upgraded, it can be much faster—like in your case, where it only took 40 minutes.

For heavily customized instances, the upgrade process might take longer due to conflict resolution and post-upgrade testing. Proper preparation, like resetting or cleaning up unnecessary configurations, can significantly reduce the upgrade time.
