Hi everyone,
I would like to know how I can earn Learning Credits in ServiceNow.
I have completed my ServiceNow certifications and I’m currently looking to continue my learning and build my profile through ServiceNow learning programs.
Could someone please explain:
How can I earn Learning Credits?
Which courses, events, or activities provide Learning Credits?
Is there any way for an individual learner to earn them for free?
Any guidance or resources would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @Manish2026
You can't earn learning credits and there is neither courses that provide learning credits - they are bought from a company instance.
If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
Best regards

Hi @Manish2026
Refer : Guide to learning credits
On How to earn credits, I will suggest you to check with your manager /Servicenow Capability team in your company on it. They will share the details.

Thank you, @Tanushree Maiti madam, for sharing the guide.
I’m currently a 4th-year B.Tech student and not working in a company yet, so I don’t have a manager or ServiceNow Capability team to check with.
Could you please guide me on whether there is any way for an individual student to earn Learning Credits through ServiceNow, such as through ServiceNow events, community activities, learning programs, or other opportunities?
I have completed my ServiceNow certifications and would like to continue learning through ServiceNow programs.
Thank you for your guidance!

Hi @Manish2026
Currently, the training is available free of cost for all. However, you still need to pay the exam fee, either through Learning Credits (LC) or by credit card. You cannot purchase LC separately, so at the moment, the only option is to pay by credit card.
You can also try enrolling in the RiseUp programme using the link below. If you are selected, you can get the CSA and CAD certifications free of cost.

Thank you, @Dr Atul - LNG sir, for the detailed clarification and for sharing the resources.
As our university is a ServiceNow Academic Partner, I have already received access to the CSA and CAD certification exams and successfully cleared both certifications.
Could you please guide me on what opportunities or learning paths I can pursue further as a student? For example, are there any additional certifications, free courses, learning programs, events, or other student benefits that I can take advantage of through the ServiceNow Academic Partnership?
I would really appreciate your guidance on the next steps I can take to continue building my ServiceNow profile.
Thank you!

Hi @Manish2026
As you mentioned, you’re still pursuing your studies, so I’d recommend using this time to build your technical skills. One of the key skills to focus on is JavaScript, as it is widely used in ServiceNow and is an important foundation for becoming a developer.
Once you build a strong understanding of JavaScript and the ServiceNow development ecosystem, you’ll be in a much better position to start your career as a ServiceNow developer.
Here are a few tips to get started:
- Build a strong foundation in JavaScript.
- Learn ServiceNow scripting and the core development concepts.
- Practise by building small applications and solutions.
- Get hands-on experience with ServiceNow development.
- Keep learning and stay consistent — your technical skills will grow with practice.
Here are a few tips:
-
Follow this master playlist to strengthen your JavaScript skills specifically for the ServiceNow platform.
https://youtu.be/62Nabpb94Jw?
-
Spend at least 1–2 hours daily on the ServiceNow Community. Observe the kinds of technical questions being asked and how experienced members respond. You’ll learn a lot passively this way—and I highly encourage you to start answering questions as well. Explaining concepts to others will improve your technical thinking and deepen your understanding.
-
Explore the free courses available on the ServiceNow Developer Site. These are practical and focused, and will help you apply your knowledge directly on the platform.
