My PDI is taking lot of time for upgrade to xanadu version

Hi Folks,

 

I am upgrading my PDI to newest version i.e. Xanadu. I started the upgrade on Friday (4th Oct 2024), evening and then on monday when I logged in, the upgrade was still going on... And Today, again the upgrade is still in progress.

 

Is this behaviour common ? I am not sure.

 

Can anyone suggest what I should do ? I cannot release my instance, because I need it.

Generally it take 4-8 hrs and it is taking more than 4 days now, if you are getting option to release the instance please do the same and take a new one.

Hi @Akash Srivasta2 if it is not upgrade yet better to release it and request new one.

As you might know, there is no support available from servicenow in relation to PDI, hence your limited to two options :

- Wait, it should come back after some time.

- when you get tired of  waiting, release your instance and request a fresh installation. Note, all work that you haven't  backed up will be lost for good.

@Akash Srivasta2 Similar issues are reported by other users https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-forum/pdi-xanadu-upgrade-still-running-3-days/td-p/30...

 

It looks like there are some issues going on with Xanadu upgrades on PDI. If the upgrade is taking longer then I recommend requesting a fresh PDI on Xanadu. Hope this helps.

I'm marking this thread as complete. Unfortunately, I had to release my instance, since the upgrade is taking forever.

Talking about my works backup, luckily i found the xmls which I had with me, so I am going to just put that in new instance.
