Remove standard first item selection from header menu drop down tree

Hello,

We have just upgraded our instance from san diego to Utah Patch 7. We've reviewed all skipped items and tested the whole instance.

Everything is working correctly except for the drop down tree in the header menu. When I click on a menu item (Contacts in the example) the first item is highlighted and circled with blue. If I now hover over the second item in the drop down tree. The first item stays highlighted and the second item is also highlighted through the hover highlight. This is not the behavior we like.

I get this behavior on all themes, but we use the stock theme. With some customizations.

Even in the develop instance, with the stock theme and everything clean. I get this behavior.

Where should I look / what should I change to not highlight the first item, but just keep the highlights through hovering over the items.

I hope this explains my problem.
