Recently, our organization upgraded our ServiceNow instance from Zurich to Australia. Since the upgrade, we have been experiencing intermittent performance issues across the entire instance.
The issue affects all users in our production environment. We have ruled out any network-related issues. During periods of slowness, pages take longer to load, and when accessing Platform Analytics we frequently see the message:
"Loading is slower than expected."
Has anyone encountered similar performance issues after upgrading to Australia? What troubleshooting steps, logs, diagnostics, or best practices would you recommend to identify the root cause and improve instance performance?
Additional details:
- Environment: Production
- Impact: All users
- Scope: Entire instance, not limited to Platform Analytics
- Network issues: None identified

Hi @prakharmahe
We recently upgraded to the Australia release and have encountered an issue.
If you are experiencing any issues following the upgrade, it would be best to log a Support Case with the ServiceNow team so they can investigate it.
Also, please check whether there are any pending plugin updates that could be contributing to the issue.

Hi @prakharmahe
I have not observed any performance issues in my client projects after the Australia upgrade.
You can try the following options:
Raise a case with your ServiceNow vendor for assistance. They can investigate the issue and help identify the root cause.
Request an Instance Health Scan report from your ServiceNow Account Executive.
Review the report, particularly the Performance section. It will provide details of the components that may be contributing to performance issues in your instance. You can then address those findings based on ServiceNow best practices.
The report should also include relevant links to the recommended best practices and the ServiceNow Security Center.

Hello @prakharmahe ,
I would recommend checking System Logs >Transactions during a slowdown to compare Response, Server, SQL, Browser, Network, and Semaphore times. Check Slow Queries, Slow Scripts, scheduled jobs, and upgrade skipped records/customizations to identify anything that changed after the upgrade .
As per other community responses you can raise case for further assistance and resolution .
If this helps you then mark it as helpful and accept as solution.
regards,
Aditya
