o   You may not be able to activate a plugin because:

  • ServiceNow software is often available for free on non-prod instances for evaluation. If the plugin doesn’t work on a prod instance, the plugin typically requires a subscription fee. To see if your company has purchased the subscription, talk to your ServiceNow system admin (link to video), or if you’re an admin, see View subscription applications and plugins
  • Some plugins depend on other plugins or products to be installed. The store lists plugin dependencies. When you try to activate a plugin that requires other plugins, the activation user interface lists the dependent plugins and products.
  • The plugin may require ServiceNow personnel to activate it. See Request a plugin. The plugin might already be active. To see if it is, see  Plugin Activation Status [KB0678767]
  • ServiceNow products often come in different versions, for example, basic and pro. If you can’t install a pro feature, your company may not have paid for it. For more information, see View subscription applications and plugins
