Why ServiceNow is allowing 30.x plugins update to the standalone VR Module

We had VR module V26.2.2 installed and on Plugin updates it also installed the Security Common 30.x  which broken the VR functionalities and also the environment. ServiceNow support confirmed that this had happened due to there was a technical glitch which made the Beta version of Security common made avbailable to all the customer because of App Listing error.

Since Security Common is the scopped plugin, uninstallation is not possible and only the possible solution is to clone it form the PROD environment. This is realt impacting on of our VR rollout. Is anyone is having faced similar challenge and found any alternate solution other than cloning it form the PROD?

We have the exact same issue and were told by Support to clone back and figure out the dependency that auto updated the 30x version (even though we were very careful not to select any 30x versions).  This now has stopped our planned upgrade.  Since you posted this back in January, did you happen to solve your own problem, and if so, what did you do?
