There are several key steps required for creating optimal mobile experiences. While ServiceNow offers many "out-of-the-box" solutions to get started, there are also some key principles to consider.
1.Think critically about your usersServiceNow's mobile experiences cater to two personas: Fulfillers (Agent Application) and Requestors (Now Mobile). Understanding the behaviors and needs of these users will help you create better experiences and guide you to choose the right set of components.
2. Leverage unique device strengths
This practice is closely tied to better understanding user behaviors - why are your users leveraging mobile devices? Are there offline capabilities, location services, or camera functionalities that they would find useful to their jobs? Leveraging mobile strengths in conjunction with an end user's job function can help contribute to the most intuitive experiences.
3.Maintaining focus and adapting
There are several key principles that can be used to ensure that your user interface is organized in an intuitively. Some of these include:
- Simplifying your navigation
- Prioritizing key content
- Keeping content consistent
- Preparing for various environments
Overall, you want to maintain your end user's focus for short sessions, adapt to their needs in various environments, and help them get their work done anywhere.
