Assignment group interactive filter, for the SLA Breakdown by Assignment Group table

Hi Everyone,

I have a report, that shows results of the "sla_breakdown_by_assignment" table. It shows all the groups that touched the incident and consumed time in the sla task. It is handy for seeing who consumed the most business elapsed time, contributing the most to the breach of the SLA.

So when I make the report, it of course shows multiple groups, sometimes 20+ of them, so I wanted to make an interactive filter in my dashboard, that lists all the assignment groups involved, to allow the viewer of the report to filter for their group only. (So if a group never consumed any of the SLA

Trouble is, when making the interactive filter (which I point at the sla_breakdown_by_assignment table), it says I can chose the SLA definition.... but I cannot find a way to instead show a list of the assignment groups listed in this table.

When I use AI to search for a solution, the solutions proposed talk about dotwalking to the task_sla table to see what group is assigned to the task, but this is not good, because it only thinks about the group that is CURRENTLY assigned to the incident... whereas the point of the sla breakdown report is to show a list of all the groups that had the ticket\sla over time.

So I guess that I am trying to say, I am trying to make a filter, that will look to the sla_breakdown_by_assignment table, and offer me a list of the assignment groups captured in that table (not the list of groups from some other table)..

Would be great if someone can give me a hint,

Are you creating legacy dashboard/filters or are you already on Platform Analytics? Because I just tried on Platform Analytics and was able to point my group filter to the sla breakdown by assignment table and select the 'assignment group' field.

Hi - thanks for responding so fast, yes I should have mentioned that, I am using legacy, and hoped to get it working there

(I did do the same in Platform Analytics, but could only get the filter to show all groups, rather than just the groups mentioned in the sla breakdown table)

Unfortunately, I don't have an instance with the legacy reporting on it, so I can't check that for you. But you could use PAE and add a related list condition to your group filter. There is an OOB related list on the Group form called (how convenient) SLA Breakdown by Assignment. This allows to view the data directly on the Group record itself, but you can also utilize it as a related list condition:

The popup makes the field too small, but make sure you add '1' in the box behind 'greater than or equal to'. This ensures that only groups can be selected that have at least one record in the SLA Breakdown by Assignment table.
