US - DC - MARUG New User

Hello -

I'm a new to SN and am working on deploying an instance within our environment. We are specifically targeting Change and Configuration as our initial release. I'm looking to just meet-n-greet other experienced users of SN to leverage the SNUG and accelerate my support capabilities. An informal discussion on Tips & Trips is my initial goal. Electronic communication is fine, but I'm in the Wash DC area (Herndon, VA) and face to face meeting is also an option sometime.

Nice to hear from you. We are new to ServiceNow and I am primarily loading the configuration module for the CMDB. I've been working with loading CI's from imports from numerous other tools we have in place. Most of these have been with CSV imports so far. Starting to dabble with SQL queries from a mix of other applications and would like to soon work with eDiscovery. But that one is not yet scheduled. I've also been playing with Tasks, LDAP, MID servers, etc. We don't actually go live in our environment until July 1st, So I'm leveraging this time in our DEV environment for experimentation.

What modules are you using at this time? Incident, etc.? My only experience is with the Dublin release. Have you been through an upgrade, like from Calgary? I'd like to discuss your experiences and value any tips you might have.

Hi Derek,

I just posted this in a blog on the DC MARUG page about this, but our Federal ServiceNow community in the DC area has been working with the ServiceNow Federal team to organize a ServiceNow User Group Meeting in the DC area on Thursday, June 26th.   They are welcoming customers from the Commercial/Private Sector as well, and a   few of Commercial customers are presenting.   Here is a link to the blog post that provided more information.   Washington DC SN User Group Event - June 26 - Commercial Customers Welcome!
