Hello,
I am new to ServiceNow and the community.
I was wondering if it is possible to develop the product catalog by vendor.
Example: Purchases are made from HP, CDW, PDS, etc.
Each has their own version of a product catalog where we look up the item request a quote, and then process our internal PO process.
When developing a product catalog in SN can we start creating the purchase request process and then pick the vendor we wish to order from and then the product catalog is populated with the items from that specific vendor or do we need to lump all items into one big product catalog. Sorry, I hope am stating this correctly; again I am new to SN 🙂
I should mention that we will be using SN as a global application with many different vendors so populating the vendor product catalog into our instance of SN and then being able to pick the vendor or based on the location of the request the appropriate vendor catalog is populated would be a big help.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance 🙂

Hi George,
ServiceNow has made some recent updates to the Service Catalog where you can have multiple Catalogs. Also there are other options to separate one catalog into different areas. I think you will find a solution which works nicely for your company.

You can make the Supplier Companies such as HP, CDW, PDS as Different Categories on the Service Catalog and provide all the Items available from the Respective Vendors in the Supplier Categories.
You can Secure access to Different Categories by Using Roles, if the Requirement comes up as Such.
Thanks,
