Watch Topics page in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace
The Watch Topics page in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace enables you to create and edit a watch topic. A Watch topic is a set of data visualizations which enables you to monitor a filtered set of records (VITs, AVITs, CVITs and CTRs) over time on a dashboard that might be of a particular interest or priority to your organization.
- sn_vul.vulnerability_analyst, or sn_vul.vulnerability_admin for host vulnerable items (VITs)
- sn_vul.app_sec_manager for application vulnerable items (AVITs)
- sn_vul_container.vulnerability_analyst or sn_vul_container.vulnerability_admin for container vulnerable items (CVITs)
- sn_vulc.admin for configuration test results (TRs)
The data displayed on the data visualizations on the watch topics are dynamically updated as vulnerability data changes upon import. Use the dashboards to monitor the trends, scope, and types of vulnerabilities and your configuration items for the selected watch topic. This information helps you determine how the vulnerabilities in each watch topic impact your environment. The Watch Topics page consists of four modules - Host Vulnerabilities, Container Vulnerabilities, Application Vulnerabilities, Configuration Test Results, and Inactive. For more information on the related items tabs and their visualizations in a watch topic, see Related items list and visualizations in a watch topic.
- Vulnerabilities on External Facing Assets
- Vulnerabilities with Exploits Available
- Vulnerabilities on Windows Servers
- Vulnerabilities on LINUX Servers
- Critical Overdue Vulnerabilities
- Critical Vulnerabilities not in Remediation Tasks
To start the remediation or when a critical need arises for the records that are in a watch topic, you can create a Remediation Effort from a watch topic. For more information, see Create a remediation effort in the Vulnerability Manager Workspace.
